Landscape painter Ali Abrar has been painting and displaying since 1994 and earned his Masters in fine arts in 1996 from Sindh University Jamshoro, Hyderabad. Ali’s landscapes are the bustling streets of small towns and cities, and therefore, serve as an endless source of inspiration to the artist.

The commercial activities, the coming and going of people and even animals are all captured by Ali, but what makes his work interesting is how he captures the changing light as well as the changing scenes. The dusky sky at sunset, an overcast day, or a bright and sunny afternoon, the streets and constantly changing settings are painted with keen attention to light - serving as a melding of Impressionist techniques and local scenes!
